Emergency Info and Medical Details

Please list dietary needs and restrictions, for example if you are vegetarian or vegan, or have food allergies or severe intolerances. PLEASE indicate clearly if you have SEVERE allergies that require attention to cross contamination within the kitchen, and we will enquire with the venue whether it can be accommodated. If you have no restrictions, please put "None" here.
If you (or someone in your party) have medical or accessibility needs and need to park close to the main area, please let us know so that we can plan a parking spot for you. Please note that the site is steep and minimally wheelchair-friendly.  Contact info@intentiongathering.org to see a site video or if you have concerns or questions.
Do you have any allergies or medical conditions that we should be aware of?  Please include environmental and chemical sensitivities. This information will be shared with the medical team and nobody else.

Accommodation Needs and Preferences

All accommodation at Loon Lake is in shared rooms. There are very few 2 person rooms, some 4 person rooms for families, and mostly dorms of 5-9.

We will do our best to accommodate special needs. Once that is done, everyone will have a chance to pick their own rooms via an online platform.

Room assignments requested via the online platform are not final and Intention Org will reserve the right to move people if necessary. If we do so, you will be notified.

Please let us know if you, or a family member attending with you, have any mobility, medical or other requirements for your accommodation.

(Please note this is for requirements (i.e. you won't be able to attend if these requirements are not met) not preferences -— there is space to express preferences in the next question).

Do you have any accommodation preferences? For example, If space requirements allow, would you prefer a gender-segregated room, and if so, in what kind of gender-segregated room would you want to be placed (eg. women-only, men-only, non-binary/queer)?

There is a limited range of accommodation available so we can't guarantee that everyone will get their preferred option, but we'll do our best!

Arrival and Departure Dates

Volunteering

Winter Intention is all about community, and it is run entirely by volunteers just like you. Pitching in helps us all feel more connected and is a fantastic way to make new friends.

How can you help?
We ask everyone to contribute at least 4 hours of volunteer time (and yes, leading a workshop or performing as a DJ/musician counts!). If you're up for more, we love you for it!
If you’re new to Intention, you can read about the different pods at this page

Got strong muscles and love packing trucks?
We've got a special role for you! Help us load the truck in Vancouver on Dec 28th or unload the truck in Vancouver on January 2nd.  Either of these will count for your four hours even though it will almost certainly take less, and is a great option for folks looking to volunteer outside of event hours.

Want to take a short break from partying one of the three nights?
We get that later shifts requiring relative sobriety are less popular. But maybe you could use some designated introversion time, or you want an excuse to give your brain a well-deserved break. We have ‘late-night’ shifts which are only 2-3 hours in length but ‘count’ as your four hours.  These are:

  • First aid (3 hours in the party space)
  • Peer support (3 hours in and out of the party space)
  • Family pod (2 hours sitting in a quiet room and monitoring to let parents know if their children wake up).

The questions below will let you indicate whether you are willing to be one of these crucial folks who truly make the party possible.

How many hours would you like to volunteer?
If you have any experience with sound systems, we might be encouraging you to volunteer in that pod instead of any others!
(If you have training you don't have to take First Aid shifts -- we will respect your first, second and third preferences. But it's good to know for emergencies.)

How you would like to spend your volunteer time?

Note: We'll do our best to give you one of your top three choices, but we can't guarantee anything.

First Choice?
Second Choice?
Third Choice?
Please list things like: lighting setup, non-violent communication, consent training, counseling training, etc.
Want to be scheduled with a specific person? Don't like to stay up late/wake up early? Any kinds of volunteer work you are definitely not up-for? Anything to communicate to the volunteer organizers that isn't covered in this form?
